What to wear at your wedding is not really an easy question to answer. There are a lot of factors to consider, and no, it is not only the bride that has to worry about what she wears on that special day. All eyes may be turned to the bride, but that does not mean the groom and his own entourage can come into the wedding clad in just any attire.

 

The groom selects his attire depending on the formality of the ceremony. A formal or semi-formal wedding requires the groom to don a tuxedo or smart suit – it can be black, white, or gray but should be smart. Tuxedos can be reserved, but it is a better idea to have them custom-made to make sure there is a perfect fit. This can be more expensive but you will ensure a great look and good compliments from the guests.

 

For informal weddings, a business suit, white shirt and tie would be perfect. The groom’s attire also varies depending on the time – if the wedding is during daytime or nighttime. Nighttime weddings are more formal than daytime weddings. Therefore you should dress according to the peculiar circumstances. The bride is the star of the show but you are her consort and representative – best to look the part on this once-in-a-lifetime day.

 

Complement your smart attire with clean and polished shoes – black is always best. Be smart and tidy in appearance and add to the look by using acceptably formal jewelry and accessories.
